In order to do the dismount open your legs like a pair of scissors at the highest point when you swing back, then when you tilt forward with your upper body wait a little to let the hammock carry you forward before putting your feet down in the plumb line one after the other.

Between 110 and 170 cm. 110 cm is probably sufficient for static exercises on the spot. But depending on your body size you may touch each other during dynamic exercises especially when moving around in circles or swinging with outstretched limbs. The more space you have the better, e.g. 150-170 cm. On the other hand you might want to be able to fit a lot of people in your classroom. In my videos you get a good overview of how much space you need for different exercises.
